Drawing on the spirit of St. Francis—simplicity, humility, and joy—Francis reflects on failure, prayer, and the mercy of God in everyday struggles. The name “Vale” evokes the valleys we walk through, while “Caritas” points to the self-giving love at the heart of the Christian life. Francis invites readers to revisit their own stories, not with shame, but with hope in a God who meets us where we are and teaches us to pray at last.
